Sejant Sentry

A maned mantis deer kind of creature, because this is how I roll.

I imagine them living in some sort of half-barren, deserty areas with plenty of rocks and sandstone cliffs, for some reason. Where the vegetation is low and tough; the trees twisted and gnarly; the sun far too high in the sky making the air over the sandstone cliffs shimmer and ripple in the heat. Where the bushes are thorny and like tinder, where the only potential wind will be a sandstorm.

This is where I imagine they live. Sunbathing on the sandstone cliffs, waiting for the rain to come quick and heavy and drive the sand burrowers up from their hiding places to be caught and devoured.
